MOTHER TERESA’S PRAYER

Deliver me O Jesus from the desire of being loved.

Deliver me O Jesus from the desire of being extolled.

Deliver me O Jesus from the desire of being honored, and being praised, and being preferred.

Deliver me O Jesus from the desire of being consulted.

Deliver me O Jesus from the desire of being approved and popular.

Deliver me O Jesus from the fear of being humiliated, from the fear of being despised, from the fear of suffering rebukes.

Deliver me O Jesus from the fear of being stereotyped, from the fear of being forgotten, and the fear of being wronged.

Deliver me O Jesus from the fear of being ridiculed and suspected.

Amen.

When Mother Teresa died she only owned three things: her glasses, her Bible, and her shawl.
